Wood pellet production in Spain has increased by 20% in the last year, reaching a record volume of 714,000 tons in 2019.  In 2022, the production of pellets is expected to be over 900,000 tons.  In 2010, Spain had 29 pellet mills that produced 150,000 tons, mainly destined for the foreign market.
