Prices of framing lumber in the US continued to drop last week, although lower prices generated more volume for some sellers than they had seen in weeks.  Many secondaries and dealers continued to work down higher-priced inventories. Some buyers, however, cautiously stepped off the sideline to replenish, as prices fell to levels they hadn’t seen in more than a year.  The Random Lengths Framing Lumber Composite Price dropped $18, to $405. The $137 drop since the start of the quarter is the steepest on record for the third quarter.    ...
