US softwood lumber and panel prices stabilize at the beginning of September
US framing lumber traders who had anticipated a stronger pace of sales coming out of the Labor Day holiday were disappointed. Sales of dimension and studs were slow across North America, and many prices softened. In a number of markets, what little demand that emerged was focused on upper grades.
