Latvian softwood lumber exports on a downward trend
Sawn and planed sawn softwood exports from Latvia went down by 15% during the Q1/2018, to 603,000 m3, reaching a value of EUR 127.3 million. Compared to 2017, the exports' decline intensified. During the previous year, the exports fell 5% during the Q1, while the Q2 and Q3 brought another 1% decline each, and the Q4 registered a 4% drop.
