As of July 6 machinery and related tools for wood processing as well as presses for the production of wooden panels made in China began collecting additional 25 percent tariffs when imported into the United States. These products were included in the list issued by the United States trade authorities.  The tariffs, meant to dampen demand for technology, are part of the U.S. response to what the White House calls “China’s unfair trade practices related to the forced transfer of American technology and intellectual property.”  The list of products covers 1,102 separate U ...
