Canada might enforce tariffs on US plywood imports
Canada has recently announced it would impose tariffs on plywood and other products imported from the US. This comes as a response to US-imposed tariffs of 25% on imports of select steel products and 10% on imports of select aluminum products from Canada, the Decorative Hardwood Association. Canada responded by imposing surtaxes or similar trade-restrictive countermeasures on approximately C$16.6 billion in imports of steel, aluminum, plywood, and other US products.
