Germany: Price for wood pellets decreased during May
In May 2018, the price for wood pellets in Germany fell significantly. The national average price reached the value of EUR 239.05/tonne, which is 5.2% less than in April, but 2.3% more than in May 2017. As reported by the German Energy Wood and Pellet Association e.V. (DEPV), during the mentioned period, one kilogram of wood pellets costs 23.91 cents and one kilowatt hour (kWh) of heat from pellets costs 4.78 cents.
