US lumber prices on the rise at the end of April
Framing lumber trading in the US rapidly increased during last week, while producers reacted with a firmer stance and higher quotes. Spring weather breaking out across the continent was a major factor. Buyers in the northern tier states and Canadian provinces showed more urgency to get in line for supplies that, if not tight, were quoted with longer-than-usual shipping times.
