Latvia’s forestry products exports on the rise this year
During the first nine months of this year Latvia exported EUR 1.648 billion worth of forestry products, up 5.7 percent against the same period last year, according to information released by the Latvian Agriculture Ministry. Timber and timber products made up the bulk or 84.6 percent of total forestry product exports in the first nine months of 2017 (85.2 percent in the nine month period in 2016), accounting for EUR 1.394 billion and rising 4.9 percent year-on-year.
