European lumber exports to the United States rise sharply in Jan.-Sep. 2021
US imports of lumber from Europe in the first nine months of the year have increased by 36% in volume, but more than doubled in value due to high export prices. In January-September 2021, US' main source for European softwood lumber was Germany with 1,53 million m3 and a share of 52 percent of the overall American imports from Europe.
